The Psych Funk of Black Merda
While working at Tuff City Records, I was given the opportunity to work on an album cover design for Black Merda, a group that created a heady brew of psychedelic Folk-Rock-Funk of the 70's. The Psych Funk of Black Merda was a part of Black Merda's reunion that saw revitalized respect and a cult following around this psych-funk. Called "the first black rock band" and "f**king awesome" by D'Angelo in Rolling Stone, who even compares them to Jimi Hendrix's Band of Gypsys, Black Merda have become one of the most in demand acts on Funky Delicacies’ roster.
